Digital Suspense in a Class of its Own

08/13/2015

The suspense turned to joy at the end of the electronic auction when Dr. Roderich Hettmann CEO of Tebodin Peters Ludwigshafen received the order for the current major investment from Bayer Crop Science / Knapsack Site.

Already at the end of 2012 investments in different locations in Switzerland and in Germany were announced in the press.

After Tebodin Peters has already successfully realized a project in Switzerland 2013 for and together with Bayer, the plant design company won the tender again.

„Bayer frequently buys its project planning in a monodisciplinary manner in the German-speaking area.
We are always in a position to handle a project of this scale,“ explains Dr. Hettmann, who has the operational responsibility for 3D plant design.

In the course of the auction, first the prequalification and subsequent to technical and commercial discussions, the piping design has been auctioned as an entire order.

Tebodin Peters Engineering GmbH will realize this Project with approx. 2,800 pipes to be designed and the modelling of equipment with the PDS successor software Smart Plant 3D from Intergraph.

The client’s decision to use Smart Plant 3D Intergraph as design software is a novelty for Bayer CropScience as well as for Tebodin Peters.

It is essential for us to refine our basic und detail plant design and adapt to the technical possibilities, in the present case both companies will do it hand in hand.

So Tebodin Peters is always focusing on optimum qualification of its employees regarding planning tools such as AutoCAD 3D, PDMS, PDS and right now Smart Plant 3D.

The 3D plant design and laser scanning and structural design are Tebodin Peters’ core competences.

They have been presented at Achema 2015:
