Contact with top customer Roche extended at Supplier Day

Bilfinger has been active for its customer Roche for over 15 years. Both the Industrial and Building and Facility divisions have implemented numerous projects for the company. In order to intensify existing contacts, which have so far often been regionally oriented, to this top customer from the pharmaceutical industry, Bilfinger presented its broad range of services as part of the Roche Supplier Day Global Engineering.

Bilfinger Industrietechnik Salzburg has had the longest contact with the Roche key account. Projects date back to the nineties, including the construction of biotechnological production facilities, application systems and high purity water systems at the Basel, Penzberg and Mannheim locations and the construction of a pharmaceutical production line in Graz. From 2005 to 2007 Bilfinger Hochbau built a new administration building in Penzberg, and Bilfinger Industrial Services Schweiz is currently implementing multiple piping construction projects. However, Roche was not aware of the fact that Bilfinger also offers engineering and other services.

As part of an initiative of the Corporate Key Account Management department, Bilfinger would therefore like to consistently extend the longstanding, successful partnership with Roche, and sought out contact with the Roche Global Strategy & Engineering department. With this international unit, Bilfinger can support the customer with a comprehensive offer, irrespective of region or service. At the Roche Supplier Day with a focus on pharmaceutical engineering services from all areas, Tebodin, Tebodin Peters Engineering, Bilfinger Industrietechnik Salzburg and Bilfinger GreyLogix also presented special engineering offers in order to demonstrate synergies, diverse services and expansion possibilities for current services.

Erik Vogel, Managing Director of Tebodin Peters Engineering GmbH: “The Roche employees’ keen interest in the Bilfinger stand continued during the breaks. We were able to give interested parties more information about the Bilfinger portfolio and establish new contacts. We must now develop these contacts in order to identify concrete projects and qualify as a partner.”
