08/28/2018

We were awarded the BASF Contractor Prize 2017. The award stands for outstanding quality and safety work.

This year, BASF SE presented the Contractor Prize 2017 to Bilfinger Peters Engineering (BPE). The award was presented for outstanding quality and safety work.

Every year, the BASF Group honours its best partners for their exemplary performance in the areas of occupational safety and quality at the Ludwigshafen site. A total of eleven partner companies from various trades were honoured under this year's theme "Advancing the Factory Together with Contractors". For improved quality and safety performance on the part of contractors, consistently safe conduct on the factory premises is crucial. This applies both to compliance with traffic rules and to safety rules at the workplace.

The BPE engineering specialists have been working for the world's leading chemical company for more than 20 years. The largest project currently underway is the detail piping for the acetylene factory at BASF's main site in Ludwigshafen. According to BASF press releases, the new acetylene facility will go on stream in the fourth quarter of 2019 and reach world-scale dimensions with an annual capacity of 90,000 tonnes.

Approximately 100 BPE employees work at BASF's Ludwigshafen site and their safety and quality-conscious conduct are a key factor in winning this award, which we are very proud of
